At twilight today, Tuesday, May 9th, a new day begins, the 32st day of "counting the Omer". Today marks four weeks and four days of counting.
In the time of Jesus, Jews and Greeks (Gentiles) who followed God allotted time for the three appointments their Heavenly Father in Jerusalem. Pentecost (Shavuot) was one of those times. Some came from distant nations requiring intense sacrifice of time and travel. This was a time of preparation, both physically and spiritually.
PRAYER: Thank you, Lord, for drawing us to you no matter how far away we are from you. Thank you for preparing us for all you have in store for our lives. On the thirty-second day of counting the Omer, we bless You. Thank you for continuing to walk by our side through all seven weeks of the countdown to Pentecost! Amen.
